Cowboys January 6, 2009 Holly Minick (South Georgia) My son was a cowboy for Halloween and I purchased this gun for his costume. The holster is a little flimsy but the gun is wonderful. It is made of heavy metal and is really durable. We put the gun in a real holster and it looked great. My son loves it, not to mention my husband as well.
An Excellent Costume Piece October 24, 2008 M. Cookman (Tampa, FL) I purchased this toy revolver for a cowboy costume for a convention. The holster and belt were durable and my 5 year old is still playing with them and having great fun, but they were of no use to me. The gun itself has a very nice weight and fires caps LOUDLY. It is an excellent costume piece and, in a real holster, got me a couple of double-takes by hotel security people who weren't sure that it wasn't real.
Superb October 19, 2008 apoem (Bosque Farms, NM USA) We have had this gun for over a year. It has been sturdy and held up well to a lot of wear and tear. My son does not play with toys lightly and the plastic part others have spoken of in their reviews has not been a problem for us. The gun is heavy and has withstood many hours of play by a little boy who does nothing but play cowboys. The belt is plenty long (way too long) with no belt holes but that was easily fixed and to be honest probably fine without the holes. The holster has stood up to many wearings and many gun slinging shooting matches. Overall this is a great toy for any wannabe cowboy.
Amazing find turns into a broken dissapointment June 3, 2008 Mom To Three (Oregon, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was initially really pleased with this toy, as it is big and heavy and has excellent detailing. It's definitely not another flimsy plastic toy. My son was very happy and went through a number of cap rings those first few days. Unfortunately, as a few other reviews noted, there are some small plastic parts inside and they just don't hold up. I think ours made it about 4 months. I don't know why it didn't occur to the manufacturer that a tiny piece of plastic isn't a good choice for holding together two pieces of large, heavy metal. My son is begging for a new gun, but I don't want to hand over another $[...] for something that will inevitably break a few weeks or months later.
Old fashion fun toy! The envy of all the neighborhood kids! January 12, 2008 Shannon Licon (Livermore, CA United States) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
It is hard to find these in toy stores today. All the kids in the neighbor want to play with it (all ages). It is our 3rd one we have bought. The first 2 for my kids and this 3rd one for my newphew.
